I want to buy a big screen ... Please help!?

I want to buy a new flat screen to watch TV, and if possible, also use the with my PC for gaming. What is the best solution for my needs? Can you explain to me what the specs mean? LCD or Plasma? 1) LG Plasma TV 50 "- Res 1366x768 2) LG LCD TV 42 "- Res 1920x1080 They're both the same price. What are the advantages and disadvantages of Plasma & LCD? And what about projectors for gaming? Projector can be left switched on for longer time? ... For several days at the end? What is DIF between SVGA, XGA, WXGA? DLP or LCD tech? Unsure of what to buy in order to provide quality TV viewing and PC games?? Im running i5-750, with 9800 ... soon to be upgraded to GTX 285th PLEASE .... If you have any advice or an opinion, I would love you to share it with me ... I really no idea! Thanks for your help. Keep it real! Thanks for your help. What about the projector itself? If you want to use your computer with that big-screen HDTV, get LCD. Plasmas are not good for displaying still images for long periods of time (as a computer has a tendency to do). If a still image left on a plasma screen in a period, the image will be burned into the screen. An LCD does not suffer from this problem. Get 42 "LCD HDTV and connect it with a DVI to HDMI or a standard HDMI cable if your vid card has a DVI or HDMI port, respectively. Furthermore, the LCD you are considering has higher resolution (1920x1080) than plasma (1366x768). Higher resolution is nicer on a big screen.
