How do I get into my computer with XP program on my Sony Handycam Camcorder DCRHC28?
I tried to burn a CD with my Sony DVDirect VRD VC 20 to no avail. The camcorder has an I-cord. Is there a way I can install an I-cable adapter for my computer, or is there somewhere I can get an accessory adapter with an I-cable to the USB port attachment? Please help.
If you want to transfer video from the miniDV tape based camcorder, then you have to install a FireWire port on your computer. Connect the camcorder's DV port to the FireWire port on your computer and use a FireWire cable. Firewire, IEEE1394a and i.Link are all the same things. USB will not work. A firewire to USB converter will not work. It will not appear in "My Computer". When you installed the firewire port and connect the camcorder DV (not USB) port to the FireWire port compact with the FireWire cable, launch MovieMaker and "Capture" the video.
