Yeah, after a couple of years, mysteriously that "Boeing" logo has disappeared from all of the Muni light rail vehicles. I wish I had the foresight to lead a guerrilla campaign to put them on again. As we sat in the tunnel, dealing with yet another breakdown ... we often say to each other, "Boeing - thank God they do not build planes! They hire a consultant to develop a completely custom spec of all the things they can think of, and neglecting hundreds of other things they have not thought of, all of which are required to have a useful, reliable tram. Then put it out for competitive bids, and they get exactly what they asked for, and of course it is a disaster and they end up using twice to solve all problems. If they bought cars that way, they would pay $ 120,000 for each corresponding to a Chevy Lumina, but by God, you can change the oil without crawling underneath!
